Cotton — Fabric Care Guide
Cotton is a natural fiber harvested from the cotton plant. It is the most widely used fabric in the world due to its comfort, breathability, moisture absorption, and easy care. Cotton comes in many grades, from basic cotton to premium Egyptian cotton. Cotton can withstand high washing temperatures but is prone to wrinkling and may shrink in hot water.
Care Instructions
Machine wash at 40-60°C. White cotton can be washed at 95°C. Bleaching is allowed for whites. Tumble drying is acceptable. Can be ironed at high heat (200°C).
Tips
- Separate whites and colors
- Wash in cold water to prevent shrinking
- Iron while still slightly damp for best results
- New cotton may shrink 3-5% in the first wash
